Information may be shared when complying to legal, ethical and insurance requirements. Anonymised information can also be shared during clinical supervision. Also, confidentiality may need to be breached due to safeguarding concerns or legal obligations.

I do not use AI in my marketing materials or record keeping.

Record keeping confidentiality:

As a member of BACP I am required to keep accurate and appropriate notes of our work together. Anonymised session notes are securely recorded on a laptop, using dual password protection. These are kept for six years.

Your rights:

Under UK data protection legislation, you may have the right to:

Access your personal information
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request erasure of information in certain circumstances
Object to and restrict processing

Requests will be responded to in accordance with legal requirements.

Under Section 103 of the DUAA, you have the right to make a complaint directly to me. I will acknowledge this within 30 days, via written form and I will attempt to resolve the complaint within a three-month timeframe. I will retain the complaint record for six years. If you are not satisfied with my resolution, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the ICO.
